April 2014

This was an exciting month for us....
Baylee had her first dance competition. The team did really well and had so much fun. I started feeling a bit better and had my first ultrasound of the new lil one. Our saving grace during the whole all day morning sickness, dizziness, migraine time was the movie Frozen being released. Sadly my kids watched it pretty much every day for about 6 weeks straight. Baylee had the movements during the songs memorized and acted them out every time she watched.

We even made it out for a fishing trip one day. It was nice getting back to doing things again and not laying around feeling worthless and sick all day.

Easter was also in April. We always go low key as the Easter Bunny doesn't exist in our house but we still do egg hunts and also the kids get a basket from us.

Eventually by the end of the month, with meds and magnesium oil I felt like a person even though I still had bouts of sickness. We ventured over to the park and had a fast food picnic...it was a real treat at that point.

March 2014

March was a rough time for us. There is a severe lack of pictures and there was a severe lack of "fun". We found out we were expecting a new munchkin in November and I was very sick. The kids were troopers through it all. They watched Frozen pretty much every day but it was the least they deserved. If it didn't involve pure survival of the family or my school or Baylee's school, it did not get done. That part of being prego could not pass quickly enough.

The pictures of the kids and Cody eating were of a tea party they were having. They had so much fun having dad join them for that.

February 2014

We had a fun filled February. I am forever trying to be better about taking pictures of activities and things we do. I am really bad about leaving my camera at home. And when the time comes around to put them on the blog.....I don't have pictures or it's been so long I don't remember everything. I tend to do better while Lilli is here at taking pictures. I really have to work on this though....we stay busy most of the time with things that are fun filled.

February we got to have Lilli come visit since she was on year round school and she spent her 3 week break with us. Our list of fun from pics goes something like this

-more snow and snow storms and of course snow ice cream!
-Valentine's day ,we had mail boxes for a week I put special treats in for the kids everyday leading up to and then we had a fancy fondue dinner with chocolate fondue for dessert
-the girls did a quick version of a fashion show/photo shoot
-We took a picnic and played at the indoor playground
-For Presidents day the kids made treats there were Abraham Lincoln cookies
-We ended up getting a warm front and tons of rain to melt the snow and it flooded everything. Our road disappeared as did the huge waterway/creek across the street
-Go carting in the snow and slush
-The kids all got to attend Izzy's birthday party at our gymnastics/dance school
-Baylee and her dance team performed at halftime at the men's college basketball game
-We celebrated Cody's birthday, he took a week off from work which was awesome!
-Bowling
-A field trip to Scheels an outdoor store that had a ferris wheel, fish tanks a mini indoor play area, talking displays and lots of things to look at
-Overdue new appliances and facelift for the kitchen. The picture is missing the new black counters, sink and faucet LOVE IT STILL!
-The girls took swim lessons during Feb and had a blast
-family craft day where even Cody painted cars
-Family movie night with all sorts of special treats

I should also add, I forgot to last month, I starting working on school again for myself. College credits are also overdue for me and I needed to hit it again. I really enjoyed using my mind more than I do on a daily basis most of the time and while it required late nights, it was great being back in the learning scene!

January 2014

SNOW...SNOW and more SNOW! That is what I think about January. We did have fun playing in the snow with the go cart.

We did have plenty of supply for making snow ice cream. We had a playdate with friends from out of town at the skating rink which has a lot of climbing features as well. We didn't even skate.

There were lots of pictures of just the kids playing in the house. I was trying to figure out my new camera.....made a small bit of progress....still working on it this many months later though.

December 2013

December....so long ago. One of our favorite things was going to the sculpture park in St Louis when taking a friend to the airport. We had a blast talking about the sculptures, walking around, exploring and just happened to be a beautiful day out and much much warmer in STL than at home.

There are all sorts of pictures.  My camera bottomed out on me on Christmas day so there are not many pictures from then and used my phone which didn't take great pictures. But at least there is something. We got a huge snow storm and made bigger than life snowmen for the family. We had so much fun playing in the snow. Baylee had her Christmas performance at the mall. As always there are the millions(not really but seems that way) attempts at a picture for Christmas Cards but I love the duds too. I'm a bit partial and not afraid to admit it.

November 2013

November was chilly and we spent a good bit inside because you all know how I have this strong bond with the cold :)

Our pics show some of the fun. I am starting to realize if I don't take more pictures and I'm this far behind on the blog, I will likely forget what we did/do. I know there are lots of the same pictures but I have a hard time choosing and it takes a lot to get the "perfect" picture but to be honest, I love the goof ups. They are usually showing one of the kid's true personalities.

We made a couple of visits to the library as usual but there was one, we just went to play and the kids played nicely, we were the only ones there and they LOVED it. I also loved it.

-The Veterans Day parade, we made a big hit and had quite a few stop and talk with us for a minute, then I took the kids to a local coffee shop for hot chocolate and a cookie, they thought they were sooooo big

-If you know how I see our yard here, I don't try to impress anyone don't have HOA to deal with and we keep it cut, but I do not rake leaves. I raked leaves a lot of times the same leaves but only to play in them! Fun times for us all.

-Went for a hike at the park where there are old mature trees with large leaves and gathered leaves for an art project and decorated them and made garlands

-Had some really bad weather and a tornado storm about 10 miles from us, pictures are my view to the north and to the south on the same day...luckily I only had trash to clean up and our trampoline took a beating

-Cody surprised me and the usual grinch put in to put up the Christmas tree early, of course I gave in

-We made a thank you turkey box where everyday we wrote on notes we made something we were thankful for. The kids ended up loving this and on Thanksgiving we read them all at dinner. For our big meal, we went to Dan and Hannah's again. We made cookies -autumn cookies and acorn cookies

-The end of the month was the most exciting around here for Tanner. We had to buy hay for the winter for the goats. This may seem like something silly but to have 20 bales of hay on daddy's truck and he got to go pick it up and help, it was heaven for this little boy. He has brought it up more times than I can count as a "remember when".

 I love that they appreciate the simple things in life!

October 2013

Sadly here it is June and I'm just trying to get some pictures up from last fall. My only goal these days is to get them available to you to see......the journaling will be slim to none. One day I may have time ....haha

October is always a fun time full of festive activities. Highlights:
-Fall festival at the Nature Center
-Boo at the zoo
-carving pumpkins
-Apple orchard visit
-Tanner's birthday
-Halloween party at the library

And Aunt Faith came to visit. We all had a blast with her!

Milestone...Zoey finally got over her fear of the trampoline.

We missed trick or treating this year. It was very rainy and cold and of luckily of all years to be sick, this was a good one, we wouldn't have gone anyway.
